Volunteer— How will you serve?
Serving others is part of who we are. How will your serve? Your service will bless others but you will be blessed in return. There are many opportunities so find a place and see what God has in store.

Celebrate Recovery We are in need of childcare workers who would be willing to serve on rotating Friday nights. Please contact (997-4649 or ajones@venturechristian.org). We are also looking for people to help with sound support for our musical team on Friday nights. Arbor Apartments: Venture Christian Church supports an ongoing outreach at the Arbor Apartments located on the corner of Kooser and Camden. Some of these families struggle to make ends meet, and they often turn to CityTeam for food and clothing assistance. If you have items to donate, please bring them to CityTeam Family Services at 1297 North 13th Street, San Jose. For more information on how you can help, please call 293-4657 or visit sjfamilyservices@cityteam.org.		KVB volunteers needed Parent volunteers / support staff needed. If you would like to be a part of the parent volunteer team, please let us know. Contact the WMCA office at 408-997-4667 to inquire.

Like to Crochet? The Ethiopia/Heeraraa School short-term mission team could use your help with a small fundraiser. We need to make at least 300 “Friendship Flowers.” These small crocheted flowers take only 15 minutes to make. We hope to help our Venture Christian children get involved with missions by selling these flowers for a small sum and having each child attach a note or drawing. We will deliver the flowers on our trip this summer. The Heeraraa school children will send a note or drawing and attach a small surprise in return. Please call Lisa McAndrews (227-5648) for instructions and details.		Sponsors needed Heritage Home will be hosting their 21st Annual Benefit Dinner/Auction the evening of Friday, September 26. They are looking for corporate and individual sponsors for the event. If you or your company are interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact Diane Berney (316-0700).

Heritage Home Heritage Home is a residential hall for women who find themselves pregnant, alone, and in crisis. They need “lightly used” maternity clothes (especially larger sizes). Other items the women will need when they move out are: beds, dressers, couches, dining tables, and chairs. If you would like to help, please contact Diane Berney (316-0700).		Prayer Chain: Are you a prayer warrior? Would you like to receive a daily e-mail with prayer requests that have come into the church that day? If so, please send your name and email address to kgentrup@venturechristian.org. And please pick up an Intercessor Prayer List in the upper foyer; it’s a great reminder to pray for our church family.

Wheels for Missionaries: If you have a spare vehicle you could loan to a missionary from time to time for local travel, please call Dan Lagassé (997-4635).
